Mets continued making fools out of the Phillies with a series sweep to go 9-3 against them this season. It's fun beating up on their team of overpaid DHs.

Our offence is red hot right now, they've scored 72 runs in the last 8 games. Basically everyone is cooking (all starters had a hit tonight) but Alonso, Lindor, Marte, Guillorme and Canha are especially hot. 

Up to a 10 game lead now in the division.

Taillon just looks completely different this year, has a perfect game going against the Angels. Hope the Yanks can just give him 1 run.

EDIT: over but still pretty damn good. 

Mets shut out for the first time this season to kick off this gnarly West Coast trip. Good effort by the pitching to limit the Dodgers to 2 runs, but the offence looked a bit overmatched. Didn't help that Lindor was out of the lineup because he closed his hotel door on his hand. :suspic:

Fantastic rally by the Mets to split the series with the Dodgers, two consecutive wins behind fill-in starters too. Some of the best baseball I've ever watched honestly, two really good teams. Mets are getting contributions from literally everyone on their roster, Adonis Media coming up huge today getting the extra inning save against Betts and Freeman. Bring on the Padres!

Speaking of, I was mistaken about Stroman! He tried to get the Orioles on Thursday but the game was rained out which means he's set to start at Yankee stadium for the Cubs this Friday :laughy: I hope he gets lit up, what a clown.

They shook. Clint Frazier badmouthed the Yankee organization recently and got DFA'd and Marcus Stroman wasn't ready for the heat.

The Mets were on the Apple game tonight and I thought she was fine, and had a couple of clever jokes. Mets had a couple of flat performances against the Padres but they looked back to themselves after a days rest and blew away the Angels tonight. Hopefully a sweep upcoming with the Braves and Phillies starting to figure things out.

Edwin Diaz threw a pitch about fourteen times faster than that tonight. He was sensational blowing away Trout in the 8th and then finishing off the save. 17K/9 best in MLB.

Royals announced Greinke is going to pitch one more rehab start for Omaha tomorrow, which is only notable because I bought tickets two weeks ago with no idea that one of my favorite pitchers would be on the mound.

I’ve only been to one Storm Chasers game and it was when they were the Omaha Royals. I’m pumped!

David Bell is the pits and the Castellini's should just sell the fucking team to someone who actually gives a shit about competing.

Greinke pitched 7 innings in 60-odd pitches, seemed to be pitching to contact so had a lot of 10 pitch innings. Kiddo seemed to have a good time and won one of their social media giveaways. AAA baseball is worth a stop.

Realized the new playoff format starts this year and decided to see what the current playoff teams are.

In the AL, all 3 wild card teams are in the AL East. Toronto, Tampa and Boston all have more wins than the other 2nd place teams. Toronto even has a better record than the Twins who lead the Central.

Of course as soon as Toronto becomes good the AL East becomes INSANE.

NL is a little more balanced although in the West there’s weird shit going on with the Dodgers and Padres thanks to win %

Tampa Bay is in 4th place in the division despite being 5 games over .500. This is why I will never stand for autobids due to hiding in a division. Just amazing the Yanks have the best record in the league despite 3/4 division rivals putting forth at least 85+ win sides. 

What is with the umpires this season man.

This isn’t even the only bad call this game. There’s been like 4 against the Jays tonight.

Whew! Very fortunate to at least get out of that inning without taking the L.

Jays fight back and take the lead in the 10th and the umpire does everything possible to try and hand the game back to Chicago.
