Looks like Richard Sherman is going to sign with the 49ers for a three years deal.
It is going to be weird to me see him wearing a Niners jersey on lol

Sherman went to Stanford so it isn't that far fetched but then again I saw Mevis suit up for New England and David Harris as well so I am used to that type of weirdness.
Not a big fan of what the Browns did on the trade end besides the Jarvis Landry one but that's because Mike Tannebaum is an attrocious GM. How Stephen Ross thought Trader Mike was worthy of this title again after he put the Jets in such a cap hell and gave away their future. No surprise he has done the same to the Dolphins.....Landry isn't fast but he takes up for that in toughness, crisp route running and emotion. Very good player even if he overblows it(Not to the degree of his lunatic partner in crime in LSU) on the field with his whining and personality.
They gave Danny Shelton practically away to the Patriots to just move up 2 rounds in an earlier draft. A former 1st rounder who is still young, Shelton may have been a one trick pony but he stuffed up the middle and does well in that regard. New England I think will know better how to use him, Cleveland should have gotten more.
Tyrod Taylor has taken such a beating over his time in Buffalo that I don't know how much longer he can keep up his subpar play. He misses throws, doesn't make the best of reads and his best plays come from improvisation and him being on his feet and watching a play practically collapse. To give up the 1st pick in round 3 for that seems crazy but I get it, Cleveland wants to win now....but what I don't get comes in their next trade.
I am a Notre Dame fan so maybe I am impartial but I think in due time, DK6(Kizer) can be something in this league except he got thrown to the fire for the sake of it and got to work with hardly anything besides Njoku and 4 games of Josh Gordon given his other targets like Coleman was either hurt or made too many mental mistakes like drops. Their running game took a big stepback and it made a rookie QB basically throwing into defenses laps and it was clear Kizer didn't have the speed of the game down as he lacked anticipation and was purely winging it on his alright arm strength and ability to scramble and run for yardage. I think him going to Green Bay to learn from the best in the world is a very good move and I would have liked the Jets to have considered Kizer because I think with a full year of seasoning in a system he might be in that mold of McCarron/Garappolo(Not as good as the latter) of being a solid backup who when given the chance can step his game up as a starter in due time. Randall seemed like a problem with his voicing displeasure and I assume the Packers don't want that headache to deal with come negotiation time so they traded him and get to move up in 2 rounds with the Browns, sounds like a nice trade to me for the Packers. By all accounts, Randall was one of the very few guys to step up in that secondary but I think Green Bay is banking on high 2nd round pick Kevin King to fill that void.
I would have much rather rolled with Kizer for another year than trade a high 3rd for Tyrod Taylor but I get it....Tyrod is far more established and might be the better mentor to a QB the Browns pick at 1 or 4.
I would like to see the Browns get into the playoffs but it comes down to Joe Thomas coming back for another year. There isn't a more deserving player to make the playoffs than Thomas.

Going off of everything I have read, I am led to believe Randall was a bright spot in that secondary this past season? Is that a wrong statement?

Going off of everything I have read, I am led to believe Randall was a bright spot in that secondary this past season? Is that a wrong statement? Completely , yes. If he were a bright spot he wouldn't of been traded for a shitty quarterback we pray never takes a snap. He is one of the worst coverage guys in the league. He had decent ball skills but blew so many coverages they didn't matter most of the time. I wouldn't of minded seeing him play some safety and get him off the boundaries but yeah... he was a cut candidate because of his play. Hence the trade.

So Buffalo needs a QB again. What else is new?
Tyrod was always going to leave so this didn't come as a surprise, and with any luck the Bills' front office has a plan, but I don't think we're getting back to the playoffs this year.

I'm not saying it was all his fault, he didn't have a ton of help in Buffalo but still, he did nothing to change any perceptions about his questionable ability to drive the ball down field. And all of a sudden Browns fans are creaming their pants because they get the guy a floundering organization like Buffalo didn't want? I mean I know they got Jarvis Landry as the down field threat but Taylor is not a QB they should be excited for...but this is the browns who had a collective boner for Johnny Manziel.

Tyrod is definitely a starting level quarterback, and consistently one of the best protectors of the football in the league. He is infinitely a better option that what the Browns have put out under center for a number of years now, and acts as a nice bridge to whoever they pick in the draft.
Jarvis Landry is also not a downfield threat, he is much more of a slot/possession receiver who does his work around the line of scrimmage. He averaged under 9 yards per reception last season.

Landry a downfield threat? So are just plain making stuff up that sounds good these days in The Empire or what? Landry is as much of a great downfield threat as Mike Vick was a great pocket passer.
And Taylor isn't dead weight , he's a serviceable starter who can get you through a season or two and be respectable. He doesn't turn the ball over , he can make some throws and his mobility helps the running game - a good fit for the Browns who don't need to worry about the Super Bowl today... they just need to become respectable first. The idea that every trade , free agent or draft pick has to be made with Super Bowl in mind is ridiculous and nauseating.

You can count the Broncos out of the Cousins sweepstakes. The Broncos have signed Case Keenum. Good move or was Keenum just very good last season?
After Cousins made his letter to Washington, I think it became clear he was stuck between the Vikings and the Jets as those were the two teams he tagged in it.

I wouldn't of minded seeing him play some safety and get him off the boundaries but yeah... he was a cut candidate because of his play. Hence the trade. I disagree with Kizer being a shitty QB, I think he did about as what we could in that circumstance with a team devoid of much talent on offense and with Joe Thomas going down early but hey to each's own. He needed a year to sit down and adjust the game and I thought he should have come back to ND but he isn't a terrible QB. He has upside unlike Brett Hundley....
Seems like Randall is being placed at safety, curious if it helps him out or not. Given you watch their games every week, I will take your word on Randall.
I wanted Allen Robinson even at that pricetag, think he's a very good all around WR even coming off the ACL tear. Think that's a strong signing for Chicago to help Trubisky out. I don't know about that Watkins move to KC, he's such a fragile player even though he has been a Jet killer for the longest time. He got used primarily as a deep threat in LA year 1 since he got traded so late into training camp and not much else. More will be expected of him with the Chiefs and he will work well with Mahomes big cannon of an arm but he is like the opposite of Jarvis Landry, very finesse WR who hovers around the sidelines and doesn't go much in the middle and is always dinged up.
Just no to Kirk Cousins for the Jets. I don't get the Richburg love given he is hurt every other snap at Center but I would like a top tier CB and C at the very least. I want another WR given Robby Anderson is such a and Enunwa is off an injury but I don't know what else is out there. I WANT to keep ASJ but he seems to have pricetag his way out, give me Trey Burton and hope him getting more snaps helps establish him to becoming a TE1.
I want Cousins to sign with MIN and the Jets to take a flier on Teddy Bridgewater even if Untouchable dislikes him with a passion.
McCown/Bridgewater/Hackenbust for a year since the Qbs like Rosen, Darnold and Mayfield I think will be had before pick 6, especially after Buffalo's trade of Glenn to Cincy yesterday.

Regardless of my experience watching Randall , the logic isn't even there in the reporting or the idea the Packers would trade their "bright spot" of a shitty secondary - a unit that needs an overhaul for a player who's best case scenario in the Packers minds is never taking a meaningful snap. Where is the common sense reporting there? And even that aside , Randall got benched multiple times this season , was a malcontent who threw a hissy fit and the only reason he saw the playing time he did is because of injuries. I had hopes for him , I still think he can be a competent safety but he was not a bright spot last season.
I read last night the Packers were looking at Sammy Watkins , Allen Robinson and Jimmy Graham - woke up this morning to find two of those three are already signed with other teams and I'm okay with that. I don't really want Graham either - last thing an injury plagued team needs is an injury plagued tight end who's lost a step.

Oh he has talent , like I said his ball skills were there on the rare occasion he was actually in position. It's also not all his fault as Thompson and the Packers had the genius idea to draft a guy who played safety in college , was a good safety in college and put him at cornerback. He clearly never got the nuances of the position , but his attitude didn't always help either. I've spent far too much time talking about Randall though.

Whew 49ers sign the oft injured Weston Richburg to a 5 year deal. I hope the Jets can get Jensen out of Baltimore, we need a massive stepup for the center spot. Wesley Johnson was just not strong nor fast enough to be that anchor that Mangold was for a decade.
EDIT: KIRK COUSINS SIGNS WITH THE VIKINGS! I LIKE THAT! I LIKE THAT!

Yessssss Teddy Football is about to sign with the Jets. Got my guy, hope they still resign Tears of McCown and or draft a QB.
Get me a top tier CB, Ryan Jansen and another WR(Not a fan of Dion Lewis for RB, like to draft a RB with less mileage instead) and lets fucking go.
MCGAWD IS OFFICIALLY BACK. 1 YEAR 10 MILLION, 3 MILL BUMP FOR BEING A BADASS IN 2017! GRANDPA JOSH MCGAWD! Future QB/OC coach for the Jets.

So much drama today in the NFL.
Besides the aforementioned pick ups, we also got:
Sam Bradford to Arizona. Haloti Ngata to Philly. Malcolm Butler to Tennessee. Allen Robinson to Chicago. Danny Amendola to Miami. Sammy Watkins to KC. Jimmy Graham to GB and Jordy Nelson released.
A lot of shake ups.

Fuck yes Trumaine Johnson to the Jets, probably big money but we needed a cornerback big time. Give me Jensen and maybe resign ASJ/Claiborne and I am pretty happy. Catanazaro too for the kicking. 15 million per year....that's big money.

Remember when the Packers were too cool for free agency?
Wilkerson obviously has big attitude issues and may well be the latest Haynesworth. Hard to dislike a one-year prove it contract though, if he shows up to play GB have a nasty d-line.

It's a suspect signing because he hasn't been the same since his leg injury and he isn't a leader and lacks heart. The Wilkerson from 2011-2015 is a different story than the 2016-2017 Wilkerson. He is still a steady run stuffer but he lacks a good motor and has for a while, and he doesn't get after the QB as much as you would want to.
When he cares and is right, he can be very darn good but again I think that leg injury he got last week of 2015 vs BUF has impacted him.
