Sure, Jericho is a 30 year veteran.. but 75% of a wrestling match is the build - the whys, whats, whens - the psychology behind the match. Sure, you can pull a banger out of nowhere with zero story or context, but whats the point - to have a " technically good " match?

Christ, Dean Malenko would have won gold 10 times over if this were the criteria.

I used to really like Jericho, loved his first book, but find these days that he’s an insufferable prick who hops on to anyone/anything relevant and sucks it dry. Kingston hasn’t been the same since their program.

Jericho made those comments before it was made public that Jay's daughter was paralyzed from the waist down and going for emergency surgery, and his other daughter also was injured but will heal. But hey lets use anything to hate on AEW right?

Or are you mad he called them out of twitter, which is the main way to get in touch with consumer support these days in the US from large corporations, as should you try their numbers, you are put on hold for an hour, then the call is dropped as it times out because they reallocated support members from call centers to twitter.

Not every inconvenience needs to be shared on Twitter.

It does come across as attention whoring. Surely this is something you discuss in person with management at the hotel?

Every major company has staff literally to handle issues like this, as this is the main way customers and companies currently interact. Maybe in Aussieland you still dial up a call center but here people use Twitter.

Management usually is not working at hotels at night.  Hotels in the US downsized so much, many times it is just a kid a desk working at night.  If they serve food maybe a cook and an assistant to handle requests.  Got so bad rooms are not cleaned until you check out in most places.

Reddit has some crazy stories of 16 or 17 year olds essentially being in charge of massive hotels because they are the only ones working.

It is true, average response to a tweet tagging a company is less than 15 minutes. Call them you are likely navigating a network of options directing you to social media or email first, then if you find an option to talk to a human, you will likely be on hold for an hour, then have the call timeout, which disconnects you.

Many American companies found it is far cheaper to put people on Twitter and Facebook than to run a full call center, and now run the barely skeleton of a support center by call, if they even still have one at all.

Twitter works better than Facebook since there are no privacy layers.

Not sure why one would spend hours trying to get a hold of a live person via call, when a tweets take a minute of your time and you will likely get a reply within 15 minutes.

Update, Chris Jericho has pinned his tweet about his experience. It's the first thing you see.

That hotel does not even offer room service or concierge. There is no way they are paying a manager to be on site while people sleep.

And I talked about both of these, the push to move customer service to social media, and hotels pulling workers and going to skeletal shifts in the labor threads. Call centers went away with Covid, and hotels had to make deep cuts due to the competition they now face from airBNB.

But hey maybe Jericho and the people who left similar reviews to his are all wrong.
