RT pretty much summed it up pretty damn good previously, for me. Jericho is/was one of my OG favourites from when I started watching and watching his decline has been disappointing. 

As a fan of both Chris Jericho & Kylie Rae, I'm disappointed to read this news. I'm not much of a fan of Jericho's anymore.

Say goodbye to that eventual HOF induction.

Hausman has backtracked what he said. Basically said he was mad about what Jericho said and reacted disproportionately.

Did he backtrack? All I heard him say was it wasn’t about Kylie Ray, but he never implied it was in the first place.

It's really up to Kylie Rae to speak up.

Every one of these that comes out sucks, but as I've said before you would be surprised how many women have been sexually assaulted. The number that haven't is disproportionally lower than those who have especially in male dominated work places. My major issue is people getting passes for this kind of behavior (male & female) because of who they are or how much money they have. 

I've long been a Jericho fan. Rogue jumped off the bandwagon a long time ago telling me he was starting to believe his own hype and becoming a character of himself. I guess I didn't want to listen but I've been seeing it too lately. I know it's innocent before proven guilty, but I'm pretty sure more and more will come out about this and honestly, I wish I was surprised. I hope I am.

I do think comparing him to Harvey Weinstein-a known and proven rapist-is a bit much and libel at this point.

Is it illegal for Jericho to make a pass at someone despite being married? No, it's morally and ethically not ok. But if hypothetically she said " no thanks " and left. And there was no follow through or continued harassment or pursuit, or anyone else putting her in a further uncomfortable position, then it's play on.

He'd be the sort of guy to argue along the lines of thr McMahon defence, " hitting on someone isn't breaking the law "

Bug if he did anything beyond that, he can fuck off and sing his awful songs to three neckbeards who actually like his music instead of getting a national spotlight each week to posture around.

Apparently this situation goes beyond Hausman. Wreddit might also be fucking up here.

Someone posted Hausman’s video earlier today and the headline was editorialized to the point that the mods deleted it. New link was posted here with a mod comment pinned:

Apparently whoever posted the old Kylie Rae heart emoji tweet last week was correlating the two and that headline was also editorialized. I am not up to speed on the whole situation but it’s messy to say the least.

This is my understanding and please correct me if I am wrong:

-Jericho mouthed off on twitter
-Hausman said he knows shit about Jericho and compared him to Harvey Weinstein
-someone brought up the Kylie Rae tweet to support Hausman’s comment
-shit blew up online
-Jericho gets booed at Worlds End
-Hausman sort of retracts and says he only heard rumours and never mentioned Kylie Rae
-now mods on wreddit are editing and deleting posts to try and fix the situation


What a mess.

Oh and Renee Dupree decided to chime in today and said Jericho had a reputation in the Manitoba indies for trying to fuck other wrestlers girlfriends. Like thanks dude that was 30 years ago in central Canada and Jericho was one of a million wrestlers doing the same thing.

Most fans don’t give a shit about abuse in the business. That’s the truth, because unfortunately, most people won’t give a shit in the real world.

To add on to this, I think -- and I'm not endorsing this behavior, I just think -- when it comes to people and their entertainment, they want to shut off their brains for a few hours and enjoy their media. They don't want real issues crashing in on their escapism, so the answer to "Jericho is a scumbag" is 'I don't want to have to deal with this, so I'm going to tell myself he isn't. Boom, I can continue enjoying this guilt-free'

It's a weird situation where Jericho isn't her boss, but is very in with the boss (especially in those early days) and could easily have propositioned her with an aside of 'it would be in your interests to have me on your side, and highly inadvisable to have me not on your side'

Him and Paul London never liked him because he was considered a stooge backstage in WWE and they both felt they got held back due to people like him. 

I like Dupree's podcast but he def. lets personal grudges blind his perception. He would egg almost all of his guests into saying something bad about Hardcore Holly or Bubba Ray for instance.

That's what makes the show so good.

Rene has nothing to lose, so he'll just share all these past experiences from a bygone era that hasn't really been explored before. Paul London who gave one of the all-time great shoot interviews is a frequent guest and steals the show whenever he's on.

I float in and out and have only seen the clip about Jericho, but neither he nor Paul were big Jericho fans. They've only made the odd mention here and there but it's usually whenever they talk about somebody being insecure or difficult to work with.

The amount of money involved should bring a level of professionalism that we have never seen.
It must be the Indy space where all of this starts.

UFC fighters are no angels and there is a long list of poor behavior, but they are overall far more disciplined and focused.

At the highest and lowest level people complain about wrestling not being as big as other forms entertainment while shows don’t run on time, venues get trashed and the boys act like circus animals.

Wrestling is one of these weird middle earths were you need absolutely no credibility to be a professional wrestling promoter. Nor, professionalism. Pull this shit, or allow it in the real world and you won't have a career for very long.

According to bodyslam.net, during Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager: Part Deux - Second Wave, back in January of 2020 there was an altercation between Jericho & former WWE US Champion MVP, where there were heated words exchanged that resulted in MVP knocking Chris Jericho out cold.

Apparently the story broke at the time without a name attached.
