This thread has made me think about podcasts. I don’t think there’s a wrestler that’s done more with a podcast to hurt my perception of them than Jericho. He’s just so full of himself and has difficulty hiding it. The mystical and conspiracy stuff is nutty, makes sense he’s a Q guy. It’s too bad because I just didn’t expect it from him. Like if Hogan got a podcast I know every episode would be about his greatness. Flair has never exhibited self-awareness to see how he comes across so his podcast isn’t a shock. But Jericho seemed cool and just is not. At all.

It's the lack of humility that I find grating.

I still like Chris, but he has too high of an opinion of himself and takes far too much credit. A golden example was the Fandango program where his main-takeaway is that because Fandango had the pleasure of working with Jericho, he became an overnight sensation.

When really what took off was the theme song that was so corny a bunch of drunk fans attached themselves to it ironically and got it over.

The takeaway should have been that the industry is full of surprises and you never know what's going to get over and how it gets over. Here's this Johnny Curtis guy who has been in developmental for nearly a decade, he finally gets his shot and it's a freakin ballroom dancing gimmick. Yet despite everything all that hard work finally paid off and despite this feeling like a colossal waste of time for everyone involved it became the most memorable part of Wrestlemania XXIX.

It's crazy how much they fumbled on Daniel Garcia. I thought he was gonna feud with Jericho for sure.

For awhile people thought he was a fake lawyer that Cornette came up with. But he is a lawyer that Cornette advertising for. A lot of AEW diehard fans hate Cornette and Punk so he connected to both so he gets hate now as well.

I’ve been wondering for a long time when the other shoe was going to drop for Jericho. I think his day is rapidly approaching.

I considered him my favourite wrestler for a long time. I looked the other way on things like his politics or how he acted backstage, but his history with women always sat wrong with me and I felt it was only a matter of time before someone stepped up.

He openly cheated on his wife and while we can’t really judge their relationship being on the outside looking in, that almost always ends in disaster. Has living that kind of life worked for anyone not named Gene Simmons? I honestly don’t know.

I had hoped that the cheating and promiscuity would be as far as it went but I always got that vibe from him that he was a creep towards female talent. I hate when I’m right about that kind of stuff.

They almost have to pull him from the match tomorrow. He can’t share a ring with Sting and two of AEW’s best young talent. It will look so bad.

It's "Innocent till proven guilty" but the guy is like in his mid 50's and still thinks he's in the early 90's and thinks this won't catch up to him because he's a wrestling god/untouchable in AEW.

I'm just here for the sweet lipton tea incoming for him from Shayna & Shotzi who Chris implied that neither will ever work for AEW under his watch all because they made light of that bump on the cushioned board from a few years ago:

Knew Kylee didn't just leave after just signing but didn't expect Jericho. Tony may not know booking but he knows how to make sure people keep quit.

Nerd fandoms are beyond reason. Same goes for WWE fans. There’s no critical thinking coming from any angle. I just laugh at it these days.

Most fans don’t give a shit about abuse in the business. That’s the truth, because unfortunately, most people won’t give a shit in the real world. For example when the allegations against Vince came out, and Vince (rightly) was derided, do you think these wrestling fans really gave two shits about the women Vince had preyed on? Fuck no. It was just an opportunity to grandstand and say ‘hey look, my wrestling company has a better moral compass than yours!’

You won’t find a better example of this than Tony Khan himself digging out Vince on Twitter, and then hiring Ric Flair. And who knows what happened with this Jericho situation and NDAs. But I doubt Tony Khan comes out of it smelling of roses.

Jericho has been acting like a jackass for years, whether it's his Twitter tirades or swinging his dick around - do you know who I am? Multiple fights backstage or confrontations, and his sense of importance and self righteousness has only got worse since he convinced TK he was someone special.

There's a reason he ate cold pizza off the floor in a hotel room on the biggest night of his career.
