Ronaldo is old and woefully out of form. I can only see him playing a substitute role in an eventual match up between those two teams.

The Portugal team looked exciting before the tournament and they’ve lived up to it. If they can replace Pepe in the long-term with another defensive stalwart, they’re going to set for another generation.

It's a shame to see such a gritty Japanese side lose like that; toppling Croatia would have been a huge upset for them. I'd have probably betted my money on that happening rather than little old Morocco beating god damn Spain lol.

Messi was heated after the game to arguing with Van Gaal from what I’m reading. There’s also video of him yelling at someone to “keep moving dumby” during an interview after the game.

The other story is Ronaldo and his benching. His fans stand by him though but the disrespect he’s getting at Age 38 I really want him to go out there and shut the world up.

The dream is Argentina vs Portugal obviously. The end of the storyline.

Unfortunately Mbappe stands in the way for both of them. I’m hoping England pulls the upset tomorrow so we don’t have the inevitable repeat alive still with France. It would excite me because honestly no matter what these others teams do, France is still going to win it all.

The finale of this World Cup storyline could very well be Demon Time Messi vs King Mbappe and the reigning, defending champions of France.
