Had Portugal scored after that people would have talked about it for years. It was barely a foul much less a yellow, maybe the worst call I have seen the whole cup… but I’m still new at it, maybe a worse one I’m not thinking of or didn’t catch.

England played really gritty and they could have gotten a few more calls than they did from this Columbian ref who was pretty piss poor. Sucks Kane missed that 2nd PK, he overthought it. I get the Harry mcGuire meme KING KID was going for, he just looks and plays like a stiff. :lol: He was great vs the US though, amazing the US defended better than France did vs the English.

It’s because England play deeper and there is less space behind him for attackers to exploit. He moves like forklift so he needs the game in front of him to be effective. At United they play a higher line and he’s more vulnerable.
England played well but didn’t really create the chances they needed. Incredible story for Morocco to get this far. Teams just have no answer for their staunch defence.

Argentina look great this 1st half and Croatia while trying to make stuff happen, look a step slow. 120+ minutes back to back times in the Round of 16 & 8 will do that to a team after all.
That Alvarez goal was great, some lucky bounces and maybe the final defender for Croatia could have done a better job of getting rid of the ball but still a heck of an individual effort.
