because Denver are (as good as) set on that side of the ball and just need someone to create a functional offence. A slight spanner in the works here as Ejiro Evero has left to take the Carolina DC job. The Panthers are having a great offseason so far, what they've done so far puts them as my early favourites to win the NFC South next season. If they are able to get in position and hit on a QB in the draft then look out Da Gr8t I Is I'm keeping my fingers cross

Potential future Jets QB QAnon Rodgers has decided to take a 4 day departure from reality in a 'Darkness filled retreat'
Just get Garappolo and hope he can last for at least half the year before Zach Wilson or someone has to come on in.

Congrats to Brian Daboll for winning Coach of the Year. For the first time in a long time I'm excited to see what's coming for the Giants. This was some of the easiest money I think I've ever made betting on the NFL - I couldn't believe he was third favourite behind Shanahan and Sirianni.

What an all star assembled cast we have going on here in NY. All for the 'Connections'. Todd Downing is hired to be a big part of the Jets passing game, yes the guy who ran Derrick Henry to the ground and had Malik Willis throw no more than like 8 passes in a game is the savior to the Jets. Guy also got busted for a DUI fresh off a Thursday night game, what a winning formula.
Just read he and the new Jets OLine coach Keith Carter sort of took shots at one another this past season in TENN. Slamdunk hire, I think everyone knows Robert Saleh is a lame duck coach waiting. That's why any OC worth a damn turned this job down.
At the end of the day, if the Jets secure one of the aforementioned QBs and they get lucky than a near 40 year old QB or injury proned QBs like Jimmy G and Tannehill can make it through 3/4 of the season, maybe Saleh gets a year 4 but everything doesn't seem too promising.

Given how complimentary Andy Reid was of Eric Bienemy yesterday I’d venture a guess he’s leaving.

Given how complimentary Andy Reid was of Eric Bienemy yesterday I’d venture a guess he’s leaving. I still can’t believe not one team has given him a chance at being a head coach. Especially considering a lot lesser talented coaches have gotten chances and failed epically (Hackett). I admit this is hindsight 2020 but I wish the Saints would’ve hired him instead of boring ass “keep doing what you’re doing” Dennis Allen. Al thought not sure what he could have gotten out of a Winston/Dalton led offense.

Eagles lose both their coordinators to head coaching gigs. Steichen with the Colts and Gannon with the Cards.
Retooling for the Eagles days after their super bowl defeat.

That was their last chance in my opinion. As great as Hurts is and was during that game, Cam Newton only made it once. The NFC will go through SF for a few years.

It wouldn't be unprecedented for a coordinator with a spotty record making for a better HC but I wouldn't be excited about this at all if I was a Cardinals fan. Eagles fans generally hated Gannon and I tend to agree that the success they had this season was almost all to do with the roster and little to do with him - he must have really sold the Cardinals on some of the "leader of men" type stuff for them to pick him over Lou Anarumo who has more runs on the board over a similar time.
It sounds like the Browns QB coach Drew Petzing will be the OC. He and Gannon were together under Mike Zimmer in Minnesota.

Flower on the surface mainly even if the analytics of his offense spoke to his ability.

Mike Vrabel was the one that I was thinking about, he that fairly underwhelming year as Texans DC when the defence went markedly backwards from the previous season, but has clearly been quite a successful HC. Some of these guys just get earmarked as future head coaches because of the things we can't see, and the performance of their units as coordinators is almost irrelevant to that (and how they end up performing when they get there).

Eric Bienemy just waiting on calls to be someone else’s OC while guys with mediocre resumes are taking over teams. I used to blame Matt Nagy for souring the Andy Reid’s assistant thing, but people love Doug Pederson now. If the Chiefs go backwards when Bienemy leaves I imagine I’ll be blaming Matt Nagy as well .

He has also had ex RBs like Lesean McCoy and Leveon Bell throw him or Reid's staff under the bus which is telling since he is a RB coach. And the question arises of how much the offense runs through Reid. He also questioned Jack Easterby in an interview which even though he probably isn't wrong isn't smart to do.

Two old RB’s that didn’t get a ton of playing time complained about the team. Not a huge shock. I didn’t know this - Andy Reid apparently got up during owner meetings last year and asked why Eric Bienemy hadn’t gotten an opportunity to coach, going so far as to explain Bienemy’s role in building the offense. I guess the one other thing that Bienemy doesn’t have: a relationship with an aging QB that might want out of his current team. That apparently gets you a head coaching shot.

Eric Bienemy got hired by the Commanders as an asst. HC and offensive coordinator. Seems like the next best thing after a head coaching gig, he was on a supposed year by year basis and can coach out of Andy Reid's shadow and gets more authority. Curious if Sam Howell is salvageable with a full year's worth.
And Madcap Moss's little brother is the new defensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals. Yes that's right, the WWE wrestler. You know you are getting hella old when you now are older than coordinators/coaches in the NFL. 29 year old defensive coordinator, Nick Rallis.

Washington’s hires are all about looking good on the outside. Ron Rivera who resembles a Native American was the hire because they’re not racist with Redskins. Then Dan Snyder is all over for being evil so he was a good fit and you know they have to continue to show Dan Snyder is a great guy because LOOK he hired an African American! I just don’t think the hires Washington are doing are for anything but positive PR.
Rivera should’ve been fired for not knowing his team that he’s coaching was being eliminated from playoff contention. I guess if you want to make Bienemy the HC, you put him next to Rivera who is clearly on the hot seat and let him take over mid season or after this upcoming season which they’ll surely finish with no more then 4 wins.

after this upcoming season which they’ll surely finish with no more then 4 wins. This seems particularly harsh considering they've won 7 or 8 games in each of Rivera's three seasons and there's not much turnover. Sam Howell is obviously an unknown but he looked at least toolsy in that final game against Dallas and it's not like he's taking over from an all-pro level guy. Jahan Dotson was coming along at the end of the season so they have a good WR pair, and now they appear to have a difference making OC, while on defence they'll get Chase Young back.

I don’t think that division is going to do Washington any favors. Philly will be good. Dallas will be good. The Giants are a bit of an unknown because we don’t know what Saquon is going to do.

The other three can hardly be better than they were this past season! The interconference games will be more difficult this time though with the AFC East rather than the South. And based on today's news that the Giants might have to use the tag on Jones - they should let Saquon walk.

I love Saquon but judging by how teams win championships without a star RB, I think the positions in trouble. Same goes for Mixon too Why lose Higgins for Mixon? Same goes for the RB position in fantasy football. It almost feels like how Steph changed the NBA by making the 3 point shooters so important and kind of minimized the importance of big men who can only play close to the rim. The NFL going to heavy RB committees over stud RB1s feels like the smart thing to do.
