Kliff Kingsbury was fired by the Cards. Not a surprise to say the least.

I still can't believe the Cardinals extended Kliff, Keim and Kyler at the end of last season the way they finished. They completely tanked and the idea that trio was close to success was truly absurd.
I think Arizona makes more sense for Sean Payton than the LA teams because they are more likely to hand him the keys to the castle. And DeMeco Ryans seems like the obvious choice for Houston considering he played the majority of his career there.

Looks like Niners assistance GM Adam Peters declined the request interview with the Titans.
Hope the Niners able to keep him promote him.

As expected, Mike LaFleur pays the price for the Jets offence going in the toilet to end the season, he's out in NY despite Saleh reportedly wanting to save him. You'd think he will head back to the 49ers.

You'd think he will head back to the 49ers. It's a mistake IMHO. The issue is that LaFleur was learning on the ropes as a signal caller so you add that to a young QB and young head coach and that's a disaster. You need someone with some touch of experience somewhere along the lines. I think if LaFleur had a Jimmy G or true veteran QB, he might have done better but I also think the fact that guys like Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims spoke out against him didn't help him. I think the Jets wanted to shake things up for the sake of. NYJ lost not just Breece Hall but they lost like 5-6 OLineman from Vera Tucker to Becton to Duane Brown(He cameback though) to George Fant(He came back) to Max Mitchell to even Nate Herbig so you can't expect the offense to truly work. I assume Gary or Klint Kubiak are brought in, maybe both.

How the season ended someone had to take the fall. And the offence went 6 of 8 games after the bye without scoring a touchdown, that's terrible no matter who you are running out there.
Would all of this have been a moot point if they had halfway competent QB play which would have resulted in them making the playoffs? Of course, but I don't blame the owners for demanding a shakeup in the coaching staff.

We know Rodgers and Hackett are close so that might give us an indication of what Aaron's future is.

If DeMeco Ryans can land an HC gig, that would probably be a good fit.

Sounds like LaFleur firing was done by the Jets owner, Woody Johnson. This is a terrible sign, Woody getting involved is terrible news. The worst thing to happen when Trump left office was his UK Ambassador would come on back and take control of the Jets over his more sane, rational brother Christopher.

Rivera, Saleh, Bowles & Staley all firing/parting ways with their OC to buy time for another year is a thing now. Seems like it's the thing these defensive minded guys do. All 4 of their hot seats are going to be massive for next year regardless. For some, playoffs or bust, and for some playoff win(s).

Thank god Joe Lombardi is gone, he should be trialled for crimes against football making Herbert run a short passing offence.

Thank god Joe Lombardi is gone, he should be trialled for crimes against football making Herbert run a short passing offence. They screwed themselves by signing Mike Williams for so long. He’s just a walking injury. Keenan Allen’s older. It’s going to have to be a big rise out of Josh Palmer for that offense to really ever be as great as people want it to be. Either that or Acho is right and Herbert is just a social media QB.

All anyone talks about is how Leslie Frazier is going to get coaching offers in the off-season but everyone is firing their OC's and I don't think he would be good in any of the current open HC jobs.

He wouldn't be as sexy a hire as Ryans or Evero but he'd make sense for a team like the Colts who need a bit of stability. With his connections he could bring one of the Buffalo tree guys like Joe Brady or Shea Tierney to be his OC.

Cards hiring the former Titans Director of Player Personnel despite the Titans having their own GM vacancy is a bit of a bad optic but I think it sort of speaks volumes to why the Cards position seems so undesirable. Heard they may just make their current Def. Coordinator, Vance Joseph who was pretty bad head coach in Denver, their new head coach. Speaking of the Titans, them hiring the 49ers Director of Pro Personnel Ran Carthon seems like a pretty well liked move. Wonder how much input Vrabel had with this one. It also means free 3rd round picks pduh . Not sure if DeMeco Ryans gets a gig this cycle, especially if the 49ers go far but you are getting something here. Seems like a pretty fair blow though, Niners when they keep their picks more often than not have been hitting their guys. The #49ers will receive 2023 and 2024 third round comp picks from the NFL with Ran Carthon being hired as GM in Tennessee.Might as well call this the 49ers rule.

Arizona is going to be trash for the next decade. I’m honestly curious if Kyler Murray goes to the MLB or ESports within the next 3 years.

Cardinals job makes a lot more sense than the Titans for an aspiring GM. Vrabel has too much power in Tennessee.

The Murray contract drags everything down, he seems like a headache to deal with as well. He pulled a switcheroo on the Oakland A's at the last minute to declare he would go to the NFL Draft, then refused to play for Arizona until he got his contract, then got into disputes with Hopkins and others, to CallOfDutyGate in his contract to completely burying Kliff Kingsbury any chance he could get. To top it all off, he just isn't a great QB....or anywhere near as good as he thinks he is. There's a reason Kliff Kingsbury got a 1 way ticket to Thailand, he's getting far away from football for the entire year. Between losing his mentor and how much scrutiny he suffered including his own QB taking shots at him in press conferences, dude had enough.

Fuck me up the goat ass, they fired Fictner after a solid season but he has 2 seasons at the bottom of the league and they're still keeping him? From day 1 he's been the team's biggest weakness, even opposing teams are saying as much, players repeatedly alluded to the issues in playcalling, but them making his garbage work just enough to eek out a winning season keeps him on board? Call it yet another rebuild year, maybe sneak into the playoffs doing just barely enough thanks to the talent while he continues to show a complete inability to adjust his predictable calls, hard to have faith in a SB when any decent defense will have his number.

My immediate thought is that I really want to see Roman in Tennessee with Malik Willis.
What Baltimore does from here is going to be fascinating, there will be a few teams interested (and no guarantee that he even wants to leave Georgia) but I think Todd Monken would be perfect for them.

Jets have replaced Mike LaFleur with Nathaniel Hackett, this is a downgrade. Was so unimpressed with Hackett in DEN and feels like his time with QAnon Rodgers was all done by Rodgers. Jets are going to do what Denver did and have egg on their face when Aaron Rodgers isn't an NY Jet by next season.
Just a bummer of a hire for me. I get it, Saleh and Douglas are in a win now or else mentality but I suffered from Paul Hackett decades ago, now I have to see his son in action for another year.
He wasn't good in Buffalo or in Jacksonville for the most part either. This hire just sucks.
