Roseanne got fired for doing something while an active employee though. The company knew about and accepted prior racism on twitter so long as she got ratings.

The left defending on all this pedo stuff is a new low, and yes I agree Roseanne should have been fired as well. Dan Harmon is the worst offender though, which doesn’t seem to be getting much coverage though, probably because it’s easy to separate the two with a cartoon.

James Gunn did black comedy. That was his thing back then.

I am talking of myself personally because as a member of “the left” I haven’t led a charge to fire Roseanne nor a charge for Disney to reconsider firing James Gunn. You pretending that this is legitimate grounds to believe that Gunn is a pedophile makes you part of the ilk I was referring to, just trying to distance myself from the easier to defame “resistance”.

It became a plan when the moment after James Gunn was fired they immediately started in on Michael Ian Black and Patton Oswalt.

This is what I do not get.  What he got fired for was less offensive than his first movie Tromeo and Juliet.  But this is why the left is continuing to lose power. We throw people to the dogs for minor things that happened in the past (also see Franklin), while the right can preach hate, outright lie to people then claim fake news when caught and actively embrace Russian propaganda for their purposes and it is ok.  Gunn is fired for this, but then allow Trump to mock the metoo movement and say he should physically force a DNA test on Warren.

Oh well, I am on team #guardiansnomore.  Disney is within their right to fire him, but fans are within their right to boycott the films that come.  I am very happy that big Dave came out so fast in support of Gunn, as did others.  I am also glad to see Adult Swim and Cartoon Network refuse to get involved when this group came for the Rick and Morty guys.  I hate their show, but this group needed to be stopped.  I also do not think Roseanne's shit should have been cancelled either.  It was actually doing some good in finding a middle ground in these times of deepening divides.  Killing her show, just pushes her further to the edge, along with all her fans.  Fine her sure.  But killing her show was too far.  Very chilling to see how fast people want to censor others these days.

I went to see Lauren Southern. I saw Nine Inch Nails & Queens of the Stone Age once when they were a double header, despite knowing 2 songs from the latter at the time, wasn’t a huge deal.
