US now sending 2000 troops over to aid Israel in non-combat roles.

Most military aid actually goes to buy goods from US defense manufacturers. They aren’t writing checks to other countries for the most part.

Love the details in these stories. First it was there was no impact crater. Then people posted pictures of the impact crater. Now it is the impact crater is too small to be caused by Israel because they only are attacking with a single rocket type. Once it is revealed this was mortar blast or byproduct of Israel shooting down a missile over the hospital, it will be they swapped in healing ammo to try to help the people in the hospital.

People digging into the claims are saying none of it makes sense.

Long story short, the world is in chaos due to jointly the Covid pandemic, the war in Ukraine and now the war in Gaza. It could potentially lead to a world war for any number of reasons.

Israel could find it in a three-front war in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon, and eventually turns to the United States for military help against Iran.

In the last week alone both China and Russia have hardened their positions against Israel, in what appears to be a direct attempt to undermine the US.

Russia has stepped up its support for Hamas diplomatically and in the propaganda war; it’s also seizing the opportunity to ramp up its violence in Ukraine, while the world is distracted.

In addition, Iran has become an important supplier of ammunition and weapons to Russia, particularly drones in the Ukraine war.

Many believe Iran was pushing Hamas to act now to undermine the chances of a mega US-Israel-Saudi Arabia deal being sealed that would dramatically tilt the strategic landscape in the Middle East.

I am not convinced MAD is a realistic option for the US anymore. Not a lobby world. Risks of the US getting attacked, and housing investments getting destroyed, would cost the people who fund politicians a lot of cash and most of their power. Before we get into a situation where we need to unload our nukes, they will demand instead we withdraw entirely. The ultra rich do not give a fuck about the world and I do not see them risking their wealth for conflicts overseas. And the ultrarich move against something, it gets action in the US. They will only support Israel so long as they also profit. Once that stops, or homeland investments are put at risk, Israel is on their own.

I also love the MAD theory being total human annihilation. I somehow do not see rockets going to most island nations. Or most northern or southern areas of the globe. Looks like Biden's plan to link all three aid deals together, the border, Israel and Ukraine, is working in that the Senate GOP nuked the bill already. If the US does not have 100 billion for domestic issues, we do not have it for international ones.

I do not back Hamas, but Palestine needs a state. Fencing them up forever is just not viable, and if any other country pulled this shit they would be condemned for it, and possibly invaded.

The Palestinans have been offered their own state on 3 separate occasions.  They turned it down every single time.   They don't want their own state, they want to destory Israel and claim that land as their state.

That was their homeland 6000 years before there were Jews. They have every right IMO to slaughter the people that were given their land.

In the US you walk on someone land and take something that is there, most Americans would say you have the right now to shoot and kill them. What is different in Israel?
