There are so many safeties available that would have limited any trade market for him. There's McKinney, CJGJ, Kam Curl who probably rank above him, plus the glut of all the other veteran guys who have just been cut like Poyer, Adams, Diggs, Byard and Jackson.

Jerry Jeudy going to Cleveland for draft picks, Sean Payton is really shaking everything up. Wonder if the Jets can get Sutton on the cheap. He was with Hackett in Denver, you can't say he doesn't know this system.

I wouldn’t even worry about a quarterback yet if I were them. Get some pieces in place and replenish the talent.

I do think he’s a lot better than his play at time in Denver. I’ll be curious to see what he can do in Cleveland provided they get some competent quarterback play.

And all things considered , especially the past few years with the ghost of Russell Wilson I don’t think it’s fair to say he’s not very good.

I don't think Cleveland called Steve Smith to ask about the lowdown.

Yeah Steve Smith ended his career to be honest so I don’t think Cleveland will be the career saver unless Watson turns this NFL career around.

I’m not rooting for him but Watson can be competent.

Yeah he’s definitely not fulfilled his draft positioning but he’s be fine in a terrible situation with 5’11” quarterback who won’t throw over the middle in Wilson.

Not saying he will ever be a dominant #1 at this point but a high end #2 receiver is still worth a shot for 2 late round picks. He’d probably be the 2nd or 3rd best receiver on the market in free agency.

95 is just the guarantees, it’s going to be somewhere between 160 and 170 million total per Schefter, above Donald but below Bosa for highest paid defensive players.

Not sure how much is on Jones and how much was on Belichick but a coach(Mayo) who was in the building when all of this formulated over time getting rid of him probably suggests this was on Mac. Mac Jones gets to ride the pine for Trevor Lawrence his fellow 2021 draftee.

I’m optimistic with the Wilson signing, while his time with the Broncos was a downturn, they were also a dogshit team and he still put up solid numbers last year. I hope they commit to a proper competition for the starting job and don’t just slot Pickett in, as Russ is definitely the best QB on that roster.

It won’t even be a competition, they wouldn’t bring Russ in if he wasn’t going to start.

I’d like to think that, but, much as I love my Steelers, questionable decisions are a running theme.

Surprised Tannehill wasn't the guy chosen to run Arthur Smith's offense given their familiarity in TEN. I thought Russ would have been the fallback plan in MIN if Cousins goes to Atlanta.

This is a low-risk/high-reward move. If RW is good, that would be great but if he isn't, they can cut him.
