Yeah that’s about as bad as it gets without saying “fuck that bitch Vince rules.” Obviously like Todd said certain people are overreacting but at the same time it’s still pretty damn bad. Either have a statement prepared or at the very least acknowledge you are taking it seriously and won’t be discussing any specifics at this time. He straight up brushed it off like it wasn’t a big deal and decided to minimize the situation it by deflecting to “look how great we are!” And you haven’t read the report? Your kids’ GRANDFATHER is being accused of all this and you don’t care enough to read what is being investigated? Are you that bad of a father? If I am a victim or survivor watching this I am feeling extremely let down. And I am also feeling like things aren’t going to change in the company one bit.

I mean, I just thought it was a sloppy answer from a PR perspective. I didn’t get the feeling that ‘nothing had changed’ when the perpetrators have been removed and the company is under new ownership. It’s also extremely weird to bring his kids into it.

Why? You don't think people act or do things out of their element/personality if put into completely different environments than what they're use to being in? You can have the stance that Brock did something stupid & vile but nothing that was out of the realm for a bunch of talents back in 2002, especially for a young 20 something year old. The tragic part is 20 years later, he hasn't changed and that's the major issue if everything documented is true. It doesn't excuse their behaviour. Full stop. Sexual harassment is bad. Full stop. The major issue is that it happened at all. Full stop. If we had reps I would've green repped you "full stop"

Has Meltz EVER laughed? Still can't get how much of a bubble the dude was in that he didn't even understand the Mongomery Burns reference.

“We’re taking the allegations very seriously, and I think that’s evidenced by the changes to TKO and the WWE over the last 24 hours. We have a responsibility to monitor this situation closely, and we’ll be doing just that over the coming weeks and months. Beyond that, there’s nothing further I can comment on today, and I’m not going to use this forum to speculate or guess.”
That’s all he needed to say. Period.

You're not going to get into it at a press conference, are you. I know I'm a mark, but it certainly didn't look anyway near as uncomfortable as it's made out. They've had a stellar week professionally, and the WWE is killing it and has been for 18 months. That success has had nothing to do with Vince McMahon. Hunter is responsibly, and should speak to that. These poor bastards, especially Hunter - as the face of the business - now have the shitty task now of turning up every day and every week and having to perform damage control because of the actions of Vince McMahon. There's likely a lot of questions from the team and the roster. And a lot of people who consider themselves journalists wanting to catch WWE out with a got-ya question. Of course not, where in my comment was I arguing otherwise? Doesn't change the fact that it's a piss poor response that he's had time to rehearse a much more proper response for. And expecting the media not to ask that question is like being shocked that a fish took to water.

For those who can barely hear the video: " I'm gonna do exactly what you would expect me to do here. We just had an amazing week, and I just said a ten-year, five-billion dollar Netflix deal, Rock joining our board, we just sold out the Royal Rumble with 48,00 people in Tropicana field. and I choose to focus on the positive, and yes, there's a negative, but I just want to focus on that and just keep it to that. " I think we've been privileged to seeing bad leaders sit at these press conferences and air or allow the airing of dirty laundry for too long. It's not the place or time. In my mind, he instead took the time to acknowledge the success of the other 99% of people in that company who have been killing it.

He didn’t need to give a world-changing monologue, but he also brushed it off. Calling this a great week for the WWE is tone deaf at best. I put a recommended statement on the last page, but Triple H failing to recognize the severity of what’s going on was terrible.

Agreed. I think it highlights the main issue. He might have well as said 'These things have been happening in the WWE for years. Just do what we do and just pretend we don't see anything or hell take part in it.'
Okay, the last part was hyperbole, but honestly not even acknowledging it is pretty much what's been going on for YEARS. You're basically telling your employees and any victims, Vince might be gone but nothing has changed.

I’m not sure what makes any criticism of Hunter misplaced?

Initially I wanted to give Hunter a pass. As best as I know it’s not his department to determine what was being done to protect women at WWE or to have a position on Vince for the media.
But thinking about it longer I came to the conclusion that pushing aside that story to talk about about earnings was exactly what’s happened to women at WWE this whole time. This abuse and others has been tolerated in the name of money and power.
So yeah, WWE probably should’ve had legal, Nick Khan, someone from TKO, etc. come out for questions first. Didn’t have to be part of the televised bit, take some questions, give a statement, then pass to Hunter for the conversation about storylines and wrestler performance.

Well, isn't this an interesting turn of events? Johnny Ace basically admitted that all the things Janel Grant said in her case was true. But for Johnny Ace to call himself a victim? Please... I also read that a number of women contacted Janel's lawyer about the things they went through with VKM. I truly hope this case goes to court. Vince needs to face the consequences, then bury him.

I want this to go to court as well, but given the lawsuit only happened because the NDA payment stopped, I'd say it'll be settled.

The Feds are involved now.
Federal prosecutors are interviewing women and investigating the sex trafficking part of the allegations. WSJ just broke the story.
A key point in the story is that they are pursuing anyone with “constructive knowledge” of the situation. For those that don’t know, there is actual knowledge (knowing of the issue) and constructive knowledge (one who should have known of the issue). So essentially they are not just investigating Vince but also anyone that should have known this was going on and are denying it.
Vince is capital F fucked and we might he seeing some big names resigning over this.

I also been told that Nailz is now requesting to speak with the feds. He claimed before that Vince sexually assaulted him as well. This could really look bad on Vince even if he didn't assault Nailz.
News should break on this in a few days.
Johnny is also stating he was a victim now and not a victim. This is really bad for Vince.

He claimed Vince sexually assaulted him and that is why he attacked Vince and got fired. Assuming he will talk to the feds too. Brock has been removed from WWE 2K and apparently “all creative plans.” Guessing they will just run out his contract and if any charges are pressed they will have an excuse to tear it up.

In the end though, as fucked up as it is, he will probably die before any real justice is given. Personally I want to hear Linda McMahons comments. If she ever speaks up on it, tag me. I’m curious if she’ll take the Hillary Clinton role in this.

There better be no payouts/settlements. There cannot be. This case is so vast with the amount of women coming forward that Vince has raped/assaulted, etc.
This is something he cannot sweep under the rug and forget about. This is not going away. Does the rest of the McMahon family realize how serious this is?
I hope Janel refuses a payout and goes for Vince's throat.

The only outcome is money, even if it goes to trial.
