America dominating the field events so far. Both the men and the women win the gold in the shot put, the women win gold in the discus, and our women placed silver and bronze in the hammer throw (Canada won the gold)
It's a legit Cerberus attack of Rodman, Swanson and Smith for the USWMNT. Last game Rodman pulled a glorious shot at Japan to win it, Sophie Smith may have done the same with a crafty score off a good feed by Swanson pending the rest of the extra time vs Germany.
2 fantastic saves by each goal keeper to keep this 1-0. Holy crap, Germany taking it to US to this end game.
US hangs on, lets go! Naeher had the best sportsmanship of the olympics helping out a cramped out German player and then puts forth a clutch save, good karma.
Kellie Harrington of Ireland has won back to back gold for lightweight women's boxing and cut a pretty good promo that would have Connor McGregor taken aback with the sheer passion.
Biggest story in the world of boxing is the comeback kid, Imane Khelif who arguably has garnered the most chatter of any Olympian this year, advancing to the final(Gold/Silver match) after a UD over a Thai boxer. x.com/kirawontmiss/status/1820931004673995031
Thinking they will have a movie made about them when it's all said and done c . No one has an answer for Khelif. She has been more talked about this summer than LeBron James, Simone Biles, anyone in the Olympics.
If she is indeed a biological woman, then she deserves no blame for any of this and I’m embarrassed to have attacked her. I can only imagine how hard this has been on her so far and she’s probably being shielded from the more vicious stuff.
A lot of people have won a lot of medals over the years, brilliant athletes, but numbers getting bumped up by relays, similar distance races, etc, especially in swimming.
But gold in the same event four Games in a row is legitimately incredible from Ledecky.
Mijain Lopez the Cuban wrestler won gold for the fifth Olympics in a row today, no one's ever done that before. Ledecky could realistically match him, she'll only be 31 in LA.

Agree 100%
We smash you guys when you say gross stuff so I think it's only fair to acknowledge when you admit you're wrong. Next time just don't get your gender analysis from bigots like Musk!
Even if she does not get a bag, this will greatly increase the rate she can get from sponsors as Speed's audience is insane. It is getting to the point where he cannot show up in public anymore as it creates too much of a disturbance.
But Speed really is in a place where he does not really even need cash anymore, so he is likely giving her a huge chunk just for the appearance.
Curious if it will be on youtube or not as Speed was just banned there against for his car stunts. He will take his audience of millions wherever he goes though so really their loss.

Khelif is a very good points boxer with a super long reach. She can beat though as Amy Broadhurst showed, by using an aggressive style and going inside. For all the talk of her being a man, at least in the Amy match, she had no answer for the aggression or the close game. A girl who is not afraid to take a few punches could easily take the gold here. And if Broadhurst could shrug them off, sure there are others who can as well. These are not Tyson style punches she is throwing.
Biles was remarkable these games and her attitude with all the girls out there was great to see. While she dominated, she also gave the other girls their props. Her putting over Rebeca Andrade was heartwarming to see. Same for D'Amato and Kaylia Nemour.
Speed went to Poland like a month ago and was basically treated like a rockstar. In fact almost all of the countriess in Europe treated him greatly....except Oslo, Norway.
She seems so unphased and is basically saying Speed has to climb the Mortal Kombat ranks to get to her for a race. She's amazing, she's catching ground on Swiatek as the "It" girl of the country after back to back heartbreak finishes in the major tourneys for Iga.
Games currently played: Metaphor: ReFantazio(PS5) Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood(Switch)
27 golds for the USA, with Men's/Women's Basketball which I contest should be worth 2 golds per and Women's Soccer where only Marta stands in our way of domination still being decided.
We have gone 2/2 for controversial female boxer making it to the gold medal final match, with Taiwan's Lin Yu-Ting beating a Turkish boxer today. Much like the last opponent, they are doing the same XX chromosome pose after suffering defeat.
GB having a good Games so far. I assume we’re targeting 4th and beating the Aussies and Japan. Plenty of medal opportunities in the second week.
Not so fast! Amazing day for Australia today with four golds taking us to our best ever total.
Yeah I think you guys have third sown up. Historic Games for the Aussies. Some incredible near misses for GB in the last few days, but we could still finish 4th. France are within reach.
This is arguably, the greatest performance of Stephen Curry's basketball career.
Lol chill
If the U.S. wins the gold, then it should be. He has had better games with the Warriors. But given the circumstances, and the stage they were in, I think there's no comparison.

His 2022 championship run was the chip that put him in the GOAT convo. That’s way better than beating a bunch of Serbians with LeBron and KD as your teammate.
