Your Honor is a really really good show and might get added to my top 50 for the countdown. Just finished it. Such a great, well-written story.

No. We canceled about a year and a half ago and haven’t even missed it. You're my hero. We need to follow your lead on Netflix and cancel that worthless pile of nothing.

Random thought, probably already discussed: I think there's a very real possibility shows primarily go back to weekly releases instead of dumping a whole season all at once.
Game of Thrones and Mandalorian were weekly releases, and were watercooler talk with sustained buzz. Harder to pull that off when you drop all 10-13 eps at once and then nothing for the next half-year; how do you talk about the show with someone if maybe you've seen the whole season and they've only watched through ep 4? Or maybe you're the one who watched through ep 4, gonna finish it here and there when you can and by the time you've finished the season (in three weeks) everyone's already done talking about that show?
I do think, for better or worse, financially the right move is for streaming to go back to weekly. Keeps shows in public consciousness for longer, which means more staying power, which could lead to more rewatching (and that would help alleviate the issue of people who only sub for a month at a time).
You’re talking about two significant programs with big followings independent of the shows. I think if you own that kind of property you should definitely do that (like Wandavision with Marvel behind it), but sometimes dropping the whole thing makes more sense to grab a weekend binge headline. Stranger Things is one that benefited from the big drop but now that I think should do the one episode a time drop because it has enough interest to drive the water cooler chat.

Got through Dragon’s Dogma, it was alright, but really felt like a half assed version of the Castlevania animated series. Really wasn’t a fan of the animation, could look beautiful at times, but facial animations threw the whole thing off. Give the second season a chance, but nothing you just gotta watch, maybe to fill a slight gap waiting for the next season of Castlevania.

Stranger Things is one that benefited from the big drop but now that I think should do the one episode a time drop because it has enough interest to drive the water cooler chat. Best example I can think of is the Queen's Gambit. As a weekly release many may not have given it the time of day as it took some time to REALLY get going. Since it was dropped all at once, people could binge it and push it into the spotlight. There is no point to returning to one content model, when it is clear each has its own benefits and almost everyone now can pick how to release to shows in the streaming era.

Did someone recommend Umbrella Academy or is this going to be a waste of time?
I am intrigued though, as apparently it was developed for television by the one and only Steve Blackman.

Wiki is telling me it isn't THE Steve Blackman.

So is Ozark just Arrested Development meets Breaking Bad? Feels like the showrunner said they wanted to do exactly that but he on location in the Ozarks for personal reasons. Any reason to stick with this show?

Any reason to stick with this show? Jason Bateman is generally the only connection with AD. The show is third rate Breaking Bad, overlong and not that interesting, despite fun acting by the blonde girl.

I spent 30 minutes scrolling on Netflix and Prime last night and couldn't find anything I wanted to watch... Just finished Baki and Kengan Ashura.
I watched 2/3rds of Wandavisions first episode and noped right out of it.

I don’t know anyone that really likes Umbrella Academy. Two shows I was surprised by how well they did in my list, potentially as the only one to list either - Review was my number ten and Brockmire made my top 30. If anyone’s needing a comedy in their life, I think Review is still only on the Comedy Central app and CBS All Access and Brockmire is on Hulu. Brockmire should come with a warning if you’re not good with raunch because it’s incredibly crude at times.

I love OZARK and can’t believe the series finale is going to be split into two halves to delay the wait.

A co worker keeps telling me to grind through the first few episodes while basically spoiling everything for me but it’s not the kind of television I would enjoy. It’s also why I can’t find it in me to watch ‘The Boys’ even though everyone tells me I should. I’m being forced to watch Temptation Island now from Season 1 of the new series. It’s kind of funny. But as for a TV Show I want to start now. I’m stuck between Fargo, Money Heist and El Chapo but it’s going to be hard to look at new actors in El Chapo when I just finished Narcos Mexico not too long ago.

Wandavision garners a lot of interest, because it potentially opens up a new world within the MCU and expands on Wanda's powers, which is a game changer come the next time a Big Bad comes along.
Slugged my way through the second season of The Mandalorian. They could have easily cut 5 or 6 episodes and jumped to the seige episode. And Jesus, talk about some horrible CGI during the deus ex machina moment in that episode. And the personality of a NPC.

I got 50-50 odds Wanda breaks reality at the end of Wandavision. The films we have coming before we see her again are Black Widow which is out of time, Eternals, Spider-Man, which is said to be Spiderverse then Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. She breaks reality it sets up both Spider-Man and Strange. Rest of films can be done out of time. Mix in Mephisto and things get more intense and makes this more likely. In the comics Mephisto reabsorbing Wanda's fake children is what lead her to insanity and creating the House of M world. Still think this is also one killer way to bring over the X-Men. Restore the timeline, and have mutants always being part of the world as a side effect.

Watched a couple more episodes of The Boys today , for 🤯. It's good and I like it and was planning to binge it but it's not a super binge-y show because it's so .... in your face at all time. Not that it's a bad thing. And thankfully it's only 8 episodes a season. Not going to say much more yet because I'm only 4 episodes in and it may or may not show up on a countdown.

I picked up the recommendation and my reaction is the same as yours. The first episode is akin to an assault on your senses, like they're trying to revile you. It is obviously good TV, but something I will have to be in the mood for.

I want to find out her story but couldn’t do another episode right away. Assault on the senses is the perfect way to describe it.
