How many inches did you get and was it women or man inches? Cause that makes a big difference.

October 2022 we had the big " hundred year flood ", last week we were on flood watch again. But it came 2m shy of that level - that was off the back of 100mm of rain across a few days, and guess what, 100mm rain is forecasted for today.
The " driest, hottest summer on record " was the prediction from the Bureau of Meteorology. It's rained all summer. This is unheard of.

Very hot weather today, went for a trip road to Jimmy’s Beach at Hawk’s Nest and applied sunscreen 3x and still not enough. I’d love to see these American “I don’t use sunscreen” tinfoil hatters come here. Lovely day with sandylea aside from getting sunburnt and a crow sneaking into my bag and stealing my Jatz. He only took one but could have asked

Jumps from extremely hot to rain, can we just have a nice warm day that isn’t a raging inferno?

40c very hot weather followed by Thunderstorms with the power currently out.
While it did cut into my second job of watching One Piece atm, I still have a working discman that came in clutch as the night’s entertainment!

Wednesday just gone, they predicted 39 and armageddon like conditions here, and it barely got to 32. 39 is the new 49.

Touch wood but Brissie has been spared so far.
The Rugby League field was absolutely soaked in Newcastle - probably the most torrid game in close to a decade. Has it eased down since? System sandylea?

At least the fans dressed for the occasion - they crossed to a Knights fan decked in scuba gear.
Fans would have been in decent spirits as well - the home-side with their best performance of the season and only took torrential conditions for it to happen.

Most of the snow here is gone! Still a few piles from where the biggest hills were but it's almost all melted. Huzzah!

Been rainy and stormy all week, and my off day of course it's beautiful. Why is that a bad thing? I lost out on a week's worth of mowing at work. Now the grass is gonna be extra thicc and my mower is gonna struggle to cut it.

I was wearing a hat, singlet, my work shirt, work jacket, RSA vest, poncho, long pants, long socks, and enclosed runners. Every single inch of me was drenched. I was super lucky to work on the upper grandstand level at Bar 18 (East Andrew John’s grandstand) and it had no shelter at the bar. The very little shelter near by was almost useless because of the heavy wind just make the rain pelt straight towards me. Walking to my car after the game, I was parked down the road a bit had to walk through 5 gigantic puddles so my shoes were even more flooded if that was possible. Driving home was miserable, but getting home and taking a hot shower was amazing . The weather today has been fantastic and you wouldn’t think that yesterday everything was cold/miserable and flooding

Super windy today. It blew over one of my trees which crushed a fence and pulled down my neighbor’s power line. Waiting for the power company to repair the line before the tree can be removed.

We’ve had a pretty hot and dry July after a fairly wet June. Unfortunately, we did not have a lot of snow this winter so everything is tinder dry which means parts of Canada are on fire again. A few of my sites in Northern Alberta have been evacuated and I don’t know how many of you have heard about Banff or Jasper in the Rocky Mountains but the fire has reached the town of Jasper. Much of which is filled with history, wilderness and animals and is usually a huge tourist destination all year round. So if you could send some rain this way to help the fire fighters that’s be swell. www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7273606

Absolutely disgusting here lately, it's been blowing a gale for like two weeks straight. Last night the overnight low was 17 which would be an typical high for this time of year.
Lots of areas around the country broke all time records for August, feels ominous for summer.

High of 27 today, just a few hours north of you. Last week, insane wind and cold and now, it's almost like someone hit the summer switch, and it's amazing outside today.

Dude where's the rain? The grass at work is all dead. I don't think we've had any serious water in like a month or so.

Transformer went down on my street from the hurricane winds last night. 2/3 of the town is out of power. You know you're old when you stand on the porch and mutter "we needed this" to yourself (maybe not this much though)

Luckily it wasn't too long all things considered.

It's had a rainy feel all day long here recently, even if it only mists a bit. Cool overall. Very spooky season weather. First time putting on any kind of jacket in months today. 🧥

I can't believe how warm it's been here lately. Very few yellow leaves and even fewer on the ground. We k always aware of the foliage and temperatures around this time as my anniversary is Oct 01. And 8 years ago it was very nice out with beautiful foliage and colours. If we had gotten married this Oct 01, it would've looked like a summer wedding with all the green leaves.
And how many more times do I have to mowy lawn?! I generally don't in October (unless I'm being lazy and using it to collect the fallen leaves)

Luckily it wasn't too long all things considered. Montgomery/Greene got hit hardest in the Valley. Still out here. Power line is on the street and they have it cordoned off with caution tape. About to throw out everything from the fridge later. Been having to drive to my gf's cousin's to take hot showers and a friend/my car to charge the phone. But probably the most frustration I have right about now is that I didn't invest in buying more books in the past.
