I didn't want to start another thread, my wife and I welcomed into the world a little nath45 jr this past Sunday night. A little boy, Noah. 10 fingers, 10 toes and it appears everything works. Couldn't be happier. Well if anything deserves a thread this surely does.
Congrats!!! Love the name. Very glad he is healthy and whole. Being a parent is an often thankless job with shit pay but I tell you, the perks are out of this world.

There’s now young fans of Tyler, the creator who only know his new stuff and are now upset after discovering his older work of tracks about rape and murder.
It was a big controversy when Tyler toured Australia and eventually got banned..how times have changed.
In an even funnier example, same thing has happened with Joji..fans discovering he was Filthy Frank and are legitimately outraged they “stanned for someone so problematic.”

31 as of a few months ago. First signs were when kids started saying things like "yeet", "on fleek" and other shit I'm too old to care enough to remember. TikTok was a good indicator, too; fucking hate it.
I have a small bald patch, lost a tooth, stopped caring about what everyone thought about me and now I'd prefer most days to just be at home with the gf and the cats.

When people say "bet" like that it drives me nuts. I associate it with "fuckboy" douchebag types. Sometimes I really hate the evolution of language. I agree, though I do love that "yikes" has made a real comeback as of late.

Speaking of things that have made a comeback.. You know those bootleg wrestling or sports shirts you’d get and they would be faded after one wash? That were neither fashionable or expensive? Cop one below for $50.  I’ve seen heaps of requests for faded band shirts online too, I think it’s so the person doesn’t look like a fake fan with a new looking shirt. So i have an old Nine Inch Nails shirt I could probably sell for $100 😂.

I enjoy slang and am one of the laziest practitioners of English that you would encounter, but the push towards making Ebonics normal English is strange. Slang is meant to simplify language and the evolution of language generally simplifies it making it more accessible and understandable, but terms like "I is" and "I ain't doin" actually make the intention of the sentence less clear and we shouldn't accept that as English. "Bet" is fine, if somewhat redundant.
