That'd be a great series.  That '78 series was a classic, that had an equally classic finish to it.

I’m not one to scream “match fixing” but this Leafs/Bruins game is something else.

Considering the league let him and everyone else on the ice down last night by putting those refs on the ice, if they’re going to throw the book at him they should just say whatever is left of the Bruins series is his suspension. Anywhere from 3-5 playoff games is more than adequate considering he was literally picked on all night by the refs.

Debrusk getting nothing for the shit he pulled is complete bullshit. They were letting blatant elbows and high sticks go last night for fuck sake.

I don’t even care that the Leafs lost. They played like shit for the first two periods. But if that game is called evenly at least they have a shot, or we as fans actually get a fair game and don’t have to put up with all this shit today. I’m so annoyed.

Kadri's been suspended for the remainder of the series. Minimum three games, maximum five.

They won 7 of 9 without him during the regular season and last year’s series was decided in game 4 when they couldn’t beat a Bergeron-less Bruins team at home.

Matthews shows up this year and add Tavares to the mix and the Bruins chances drastic go down!

Marner was a beast tonight. So was noted children’s author Zachary Hyman. Moore and Ennis were great, Hainsey and Rielly had great games.

Nylander didn’t fuck up tonight but his passing was terrible. So was Dermott’s. He passed it into guys’ feet all night. And Zaitsev was a liability as usual.

But! They won! Interesting how when the refs call penalties the Leafs win.

I can't believe this is happening. I thought I had it bad as a Wings fan those years they lost in the early rounds from 2003-2006. They at least showed up and for the most part and outplayed their opposition, they just ran into a hot goalie for the most part. Tampa has forgotten what got them their and have potentially flushed a historic season down the toilet.

2-1 already for fuck sake! I'm no expert as knowledgeable on all the nuances and details like the rest of guys but it seems like and it feels like Tampa Bay is lethargic and has been for most of the entire series.

Insane how TB goes from best season ever to getting swept first round.

I watched PTI today, and Tony said that to have a 62 win team, and then to go and get swept in Round 1, and handedly I might add, it would be a fireable offence for the head coach.

Cooper got extended like a month ago. He isn’t getting fired and anyone on TV that thinks he is should be fired themselves.

This sucks ass for Tampa but look...shit happens. If I was a fan I’d be beside myself, but the team needs to regroup and do it again next year. They didn’t have a single losing streak this season and that’s what I think bit them.

Hockey is insanely mental and momentum means a lot. If you go a full year and barely lose, you forget how to bounce back. How to overcome. How to regroup. Those things are important in the playoffs.

The Leafs had the worst night they could have imagined on Saturday. Then they went home and did what needed to be done to hold on to their series. Tampa doesn’t know how to do that because they’ve kicked everyone’s ass this year.

Try to sign Point and make some depth moves if you have to (which they probably would in order to keep Point). Stay the course and learn from this for next year.

And as much as I’d love to see a Columbus sweep, I really want Tampa to take his to 6 or 7 games before losing. I don’t want Toronto coming away from Boston with their heads barely attached to their bodies only to face a Columbus team that has had a week off with all the momentum in the world. Fuck that.

62 wins, and it's one and done. And a sweep no less.  Amazing.

Plus they didn't really do it with a hot goalie just hard work and grit, well done.

To be fair, Virginia lost to a 16 seed (first ever team to do it) and came back and won the National Championship the next year. Can’t say if hockey is the same, but I wouldn’t go all crazy firing coaches and shit.

Mmmm, the OT game last night was intense and amazing. Don't care about any of these other lame series. Jets Blues has been fantastic.

Yeah that’s a hard loss to take. Leafs had the series in their hands but now Boston rides momentum back home.

But they’ve proven they’re capable of winning there and I’m optimistic this year. Hopefully they can take the series still.

Damnit! Now the Flames' wheels are falling off. They took a unnecessary penalty late in the game, causing the tieing goal by the Avs. And then Colorado wins in OT. Fucking shorthanded, no less.

What a waste of another great performance by Mike Smith. Over 50 saves in the game. The defense is farm-league leveled, and Smith's the only reason why Calgary had a chance in this series. Well now you can forget that.
