The worst infection then becomes through surfaces: The virus survives for hours or days on different surfaces. If it behaves like the flu, it can survive for weeks on metal, ceramics and plastics. That means things like doorknobs, tables, or elevator buttons can be terrible infection vectors.

The only way to truly reduce that is with social distancing: Keeping people home as much as possible, for as long as possible until this recedes.

This has already been proven in the past. Namely, in the 1918 flu pandemic.

If only we could take time off and afford to still eat.

What you guys do not have servants that can be sent out to get your meals, household supplies and doctors that will come to your house? Social isolation works people. Just tell your employees you be working from home instead of the office and you will be fine.

It is estimated 1/3rd of the population will get this in this US. That is the danger of it. 3 percent seems small, but when you look at 3 percent of 300 million people, 3 percent is 9 million dead. That assumes it will only be a 3 percent mortality rate in the US, however our shitty policies mean it will likely be far higher.


I applied to several studies that will shoot me up with this   Two weeks in quarantine, some fun drugs and 5k sounds like a good time as far as I am concerned.

Seems that the problem could be a lot worse than anyone knows here.

Today I have a cough, bad headache and chills.
Rang the doctor who told me that I don't meet the criteria for automatic testing because I haven't been to a risky country or had contact with a confirmed case.
So they told me to ring the hotline, which I did 3 times and went through the automated menu only for it to disconnect me every time.
I am going to infect the world in revenge!

Well Incy if it is it, you will be better in two weeks without treatment.  The danger is it progresses to pneumonia in some cases.  Since I do not believe you smoked, pneumonia is unlikely to develop even if you have this.
