It gets worse, there's rumblings that WWE is bringing back Saturday Night's Main Event beginning in December.

God what fed would ever use a plastic bag spot. Do love the bag and needle, two completely safe things are the problem and not the cinderblock that resulted in a cracked skull and broken back.
But trend continues, people who like AEW enjoyed the show, people who did not watch it seem to have nothing but problems with it. Almost like Tony is booking for the people who watch his product and does not care what people who shit on it all the time think.

Because I am bored of this shit. You all want to pretend that WBD is sitting there with the Raw and Smackdown ratings cool, but I am not playing. All signs make it seem like the Max streaming deal is done and AEW will be very profitable in the near future.

Na, AEW does PPV well and TV terribly. And I'm personally hanging out to watch it once it hits ESPN for free.
The end results ( the PPVs ) for AEW are usually quite good, but the week to week programs to get them there is trash.
I used to think the same about WWE PPVs vs Television in the 2000s/early 2010s. I rarely saw a PPV in those days and was usually blown away whenever I did as the contrast between the PPV and TV was usually night and day.

For a personal problem, I do not like cinderblock spots. Forget who it was, someone cracked their skull open in CZW with them. No doubt they played a huge part in why Thumbtack Jack only got a 10 year career as well. Was always insane people would freak out that he used needles in matches, a spot that heals entirely by night's end, but were all cool with him taking the powerbombs on cinder blocks that fuck the back up for life.
Also everyone should be upset there was a chairshot to the head used. Gimmicked or not, hitting the prefrontal lobe we know is a bad fucking idea.
Cage match will not be making my top matches of the year for those spots alone.

Also WBD told Tony he could not do the Funk bag spot when Kingston convinced Jericho to take it. Looks like Tony will not be showing it again, on TV or social media, but he is kind of pushing things if WBD did not change their minds.
Freakout over this is silly as the gimmick for this is easy, the bag is never pulled tight enough to actually cut off airflow and if it does you just give an iggy to have the guy let up. It looks horrifying but is safer than many moves DB is taking with a damaged neck. I do love people who normally praise old school wrestling forgetting that this used to be a legendary spot universally praised in context of the Flair and Funk feud.

And reports are MJF after returning 4 months ago is taking more time off now. This is a real problem for AEW if you guys decide they can come and go as they please.

Isn’t he filming a movie or something? TK can’t say nothing about it after Sasha blasted Vince for making it hard for her to film Mandeloreon.

Bingo. Tony is running his fed like an indy fed, you do not get guys like Brock or Roman in that style. Nor will the fans keep supporting someone who comes and goes.
Also if you want people to show up to see their favorite people, you need said people on the shows. People love to compare feds, but WWE trained fans that their favorite guys will not wrestle most shows and can get away with this. Other feds cannot. MJF not on a show, his fans will stay home and wait for AEW to come back around with him working.

Does he have dedicated fans that only watch him of any significant amount? His fans might be AEW first, MJF second.

Yeah I was gonna say, who cares who comes and goes? We’ve beaten this horse to death and lit it on fire.
Apparently the two people keeping the ratings in the 800-900k range were Sting & CM Punk and they’re both gone. The numbers are what they are and apparently are gonna stay there until AEW either gets a better broadcasting deal or markets better or whatever.
Let MJF leave to shoot his movie. Who cares?
Apparently the only people actively hurting the ratings are The Young Bucks and Chris Jericho so yeah. Have someone cool fuck those people up then shove them on Rampage for a couple months or something. Oh…right. Tony has the balls to fire his hero who yelled at him but not tell a 50 year old man and two dorks to take a backseat for a bit for the betterment of the company.
(For the record, I love Jericho and the Bucks. But what they are currently doing is literally making people change the channel. I love AEW more than I love those fuckheads. And so should THE GUY WHO OWNS THE COMPANY)

Good thing he fleeced TK in the latest negotiations, because I cannot imagine he’ll garner that level of interest again.

Has Daniel Garica resigned yet? Reports were he did so quietly around the same time Buddy did. Main people not looking to stay are Lucha Bros and Starks. Miro and Tony def parting ways when his contract is up.

Being from New England and around the local scene the problem with guys like MJF, is they are the person you see in the ring, backstage as well. No clue if this is a New England - NY thing or what, but every fed has an MJF here. They are all great on the mic because there is no gimmick. Even after they retire they still live the gimmick.

Even the cool kids in AEW are dweebs.
MJF is talented. He's 28 years old and better than 90% of that roster already and we will probably not see his best work for another few years.
What he needs, is someone behind the scenes mentoring him, teaching him to reign in all his tendencies - that being his uncontrollable urge to over do it and ham it up promo wise.
I'd suggest Jericho, but he's as bad these days. But I would point to his run in the 2000s when he finally learnt to shut the fuck up as a great example.

As is MJF right now. He's got the personality of an 18 year old Edge Lord, its like watching Seth Rogan turn heel.

For MJF to get better he would have to work WWE, something that is just not gonna happen. WWE not gonna pay him top dollar, and why would he work for a fraction of what he gets now in terms of per match rate?

If you bring MJF into WWE, you couldn't start in NXT ad he's far too good in every possible way for developmental. He's probably better than most WWE Superstars in fact.
Even the best actors require direction, if unchecked they'll end up chewing the scenery. Which is what MJF is doing. I'd put him into a feud with Cody as an apprenticeship in WWE and tell him to take Cody's lead and do what the brass says word for word, and you'd probably see wonderful things from him.
