There's absolutely no way that happens. The Patriots never pay WRs.

New Titans uniforms and helmets look like shit. Downgrade. At least they look even less like the Oilers now, I guess that's a good thing.
Nike is fucking terrible though, they need to stop fucking with uniforms and helmet designs, that color rush shit is ridiculous.

Reuben Foster charged with domestic violence today:
The victim told responding sheriff’s deputies and Los Gatos police that Foster dragged her by her hair, physically threw her out of the house, and punched her in the head 8 to 10 times.
Disgusting. I had the 49ers pegged for a first round LB before this but this obviously strengthens the need - unless they're put off by what seems like a curse over the position with Foster and Aldon Smith's talent wasting, and Willis and Borland's injury provoked premature retirements.

Unsurprisingly there doesn't seem to be much of a market for him. I think Seattle looks like a potential landing spot? They're pretty thin at WR and could use a red zone target to fill the void that Jimmy Graham has left. James Harrison has retired (again) - hall of fame worthy for you guys?

Fuck me the Giants schedule is absolutely brutal: Jags, Cowboys, Texans, Saints, Panthers, Eagles and Falcons to start. 5 playoff teams plus two who probably would have gone if not for Elliott's suspension and Watson's injury.

Texans schedule looks like a fun one. I hate that the Cowboys vs Texans game is Sunday night, I want to go to that one real bad but I would have to take off Monday to make it happen. Definitely 100% going to a Texans game this year though, it's been way too damn long.
And I wouldn't mind having Dez Bryant, I don't really know much about him though. I know Will Fuller is a fragile dude(kid has the heart of a lion though). Isn't Dez a bigger stronger type of possession receiver? If so then I wouldn't mind Texans signing him at all, that's kinda what we need on that receiver corps.

Something tells me we end up with Bryant. He is a good fit for Watson and nice contrast to Fuller's ability to create separation.
Ravens are presumably going to end their interest in him now.
Dez gives me the impression that he wants to stick it to Dallas. Cowboys divisional rivals have all ruled themselves out.
I really can see it happening. If it's a cheap deal ala Honey Badger, I'm ok with it.

I get what Dez wants by joining the NFC East. However, him being vocal about it shows what everyone already knows and that is that he lacks maturity. Even Steve Smith was silent about why he choose Baltimore until he retired.
If Dez is a smart man, he goes to Houston. It’s a team that is being built to win a championship and if he can win it in Texas, I think that’s a bigger HAHA to Dallas then playing them twice a season. If I’m Dez, I go to Houston 100%.

James Harrison has retired (again) - hall of fame worthy for you guys? Nope. James is the classic case of "Hall of Very Good" He has a great, inspirational story behind him and he definitely had some great NFL moments, but he has neither the numbers (only 84.5 sacks) nor the accolades (only 2 First Team All-pro's)

If the Packers continue to ignore receiver in the draft , I could definitely and unfortunately see them take a look at Dez on a one year prove it deal. I wonder if that's their backup plan.

I actually really like St. Brown to be good , and I love that the Packers just took fliers on three really tall , really fast guys to round out the bottom of our roster. I'm sure at least one will land on the PS though. Adams , Cobb , Allison , Davis , Moore , St. Brown - I'll take it. Happy as hell I was wrong about Dez being a possibility. He should go to the Colts.

St. Brown in particularly took me back to my early days as a Giants fan when we seemed to love picking up guys with ancient Egyptian names like Ramses Barden and one of my all time favourites, Tutankhamun Reyes.

It's too bad players with great names rarely succeed. It's usually the boring ones.
I want a linebacker to come into the NFL named Zeus Thorgood and be like one of the best ever.

I truly hope to buy his jersey one day. Even though he's wearing #19.
I feel a receiver of his stature should be in the traditional 80's. It just seems better.
It also feels like we knew we had to replace the name Jordy , so we doubled down to make sure it happened.

Fun names aside, I was just listening to the PFF podcast and they gave glowing reviews to the Packers draft UT. Jackson and Alexander were their #1 and #4 ranked corners, they liked the strategy of the three receivers (ESB their favourite for his size/movement combination) and they also like the versatility of the linebacker Burks and lineman Madison. Combine all that with the fact that they essentially got a first round pick next year for nothing and it's hard to argue!

Yeah I really liked it overall , I thought Gute did a great job of maneuvering around the draft - something TT never really did. As I said in the draft thread ... he pretty much traded down four spots while swapping a 3rd and a 5th for a 1st and a 6th. And still got the guy he was going to take all along at #14. You can't really beat that kind of draft wizardry.
I like the players drafted , I still love James and it stings that we passed on him twice but I have hopes for Alexander , but Jackson in the 2nd was the real get I think. We've needed a ball hawk since we let Hayward walk and he seems to have a knack for finding the football. Burks should be a great situational player off the bat and hopefully allow our safeties to provide more help to the corners since our coverage linebackers have been horrible for a decade now and obviously the hopes for Madison are to start on the right side at either spot.
Then the three late round receivers with exceptional skills was also really smart , odds are in the favor that one of them hit (I hope it's ESB) but the measurables are all there. When you have 11 or 12 picks it's not a terrible strategy to throw a bunch of the late ones at uber talented guys and hope one pans out. The same thing they did with the late round pass rusher who is a physical freak but super raw - but you take a shot at those athletes late in the draft because the upside is tremendous. Or you be the Saints and use two first round picks on one.
The only real criticism you can muster is the lack of pass rusher but this was a terrible draft at that position , I'm happy we didn't take Davenport and the guys left in the 2nd round were't great either. Plus we still have two , Biegel coming in for what is essentially his rookie year and I like what I've seen from Fackrell in the past.
I wanted to like your Giants draft , I like a bunch of the players they got but I still disagree with Gettlemens overall approach to the future. I don't think Eli still has it - but I also don't think he ever had as much as some others do either. I love Barkey but I think they should have taken Darnold there - but once they did take Barkley then Hernandez became such a no brainer in the second round. I know a lot of pundits love their draft and I think it was good but just think Gettlemen is putting too much stock into Eli.

I know a lot of pundits love their draft and I think it was good but just think Gettlemen is putting too much stock into Eli. I'm generally excited about the players they acquired too. Hernandez next to Solder on the left side of the line has the potential to be one of the better o-line pairings in the league and should make our overall line at least decent even if there are still some question marks over the other side. I was always banging the drum for a quarterback. You just don't get the chance to pick that high very often and one of the silver linings of last season's implosion seemed to be that we would get the perfect chance to go from Eli to the next franchise guy, like the Colts walked into Luck after Peyton. Barkley is obviously a very exciting talent and there doesn't seem to be anyone that doesn't think he won't be great - but to select a running back that high when everything is skewing more and more towards the passing game is a risky move. The PFF guys were saying that he basically has to be Alvin Kamara-plus to make it worthwhile - and that's a lot of pressure to be under. They also brought up an issue that I hadn't previously considered, in that being picked #2 combined with the downturn in the RB market means that he'll already be the third highest paid running back in the league (and likely the most guaranteed) when he signs his contract - and his fifth year option will be something like $13-$15 million which is a big chunk of change. It is going to make for one hell of an interesting dynamic if we are a few years down the line, Eli is done and the Giants are looking for a quarterback, whilst Darnold is thriving with the Jets.

In a move that surprises absolutely NO ONE, the Giants have declined to pick up the option on Erick Flowers contract..
About fucking time I say. I would love to see the Giants outright release him. Especially considering there is talk that he's going to skip offseason workout and is unhappy about being moved to right tackle.
LOL seriously? Is he delusional??

Every good review of Barkley reminds me just how great the scouting reports on Trent Richardson were. If you make a swing on a QB and miss it just is what it is. If you use a top 2 pick on an RB and he flops it’s criminal.

I don't think he's comparing the two players, just the idea that Richardson was seen as a can't miss prospect that was worthy of being taken so high and turned out to be a total bust. In the years since running back has been even more devalued, and the Giants had a better chance at getting a QB than Cleveland did back in 2012 with Luck and RG3 off the board - making the catastrophe of Barkley potentially not working out even greater.

I'm optimistic that Barkley's receiving ability means his floor is quite high. I went back and a look at Richardson's scouting reports and while he was generally regarded as a good/decent receiver with good hands, his stats are not overly impressive. It may have had something to do with the scheme at Alabama but he never had more than 30 receptions in a season in college, and although he admittedly had 51 in his rookie NFL season he only averaged 7.2ypc. Barkley on the other hand had 54 receptions last season and averaged 11.7ypc over his career at PSU - and his receiving ability is one of the main reasons he was clearly viewed as the standalone best back in the class above all the strong late 1st/2nd round guys.
We've seen how valuable a RB who can be a genuine contender in the passing game can be, both in terms of their individual value and how much they actually contribute to their team winning more games - look at the aforementioned Todd Gurley who when unlocked by Sean McVey went from a guy who everyone was doubting to a borderline MVP contender.
