So I went and saw Afraid, it's your typical Blumhouse film, which is to say it's neither great nor bad. Having that that they've put out better movies over the last few years (IE Fantasy Island, Five Nights at Freddy's, Megan), that are all more enjoyable.
Also saw the trailers for Don't Let Go, and The Substance, which both looked alright, as well.

The Night House (2020)Excellent supernatural horror film. Keeps you guessing until the very end, it's unsettling and scary without relying on jump scares. Not an all time great but definitely worth a watch. The Night House was fantastic. His work here what was sold me on his Hellraiser remake, which did not disappoint. The same of Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski are amazing screenwriters and I believe penned the Head Full of Ghosts screenplay going around. Bummed both Oz Perkins and David Bruckner both had to pass on that due to production drama. Head Full of Ghosts for people who did not read it, is one of the best horror books to come out in recent years that has yet to get adapted. About an MTV style reality show that went to document an exorcism that ended in disaster. Author was the same guy who did Knock at the Cabin (Cabin at the End of the World).

The Substance got rave reviews at TIFF. I really am looking forward to it. Just got back from it, if you like body horror you’ll love it. A lot of hard to watch moments for me and I’m no stranger to horror. Some flawed logic with the concept but that’s to be expected. Lony I’m obviously not C But I thought it was pretty good.

System, I added it to the list. Your Halloween Special thead, has inspired me to put together my own "31 Nights of Horror" list. I doubt I'll post it on PW, outside of the odd "review" here and there in the movie threads, but thought it was a great excuse to catch up on some horror movies that I missed out on.

Terrifier 3
Storyline is a bit clunkier than the second (still light years beyond Terrifier 1) but the kills definitely do not disappoint, just as messed up as the first and the humour is great. Some really fitting cameos too.
Every orifice is violated in one way or another.
8/10
