At the point here where the college kids pushed me from a progressive to a mainstream democrat finally.  Supporting Hamas was my breaking point.  Do not like Israel using the US as an ATM, but seeing people claim Hamas is doing nothing wrong just breaks my brain.

I imagine they are not gonna have a good time with Trump term 2.  Playing fort on campus is not gonna be allowed under his administration.  Hoping campuses shut it down early in the fall, but I doubt it.  Seems the solution will be security guards on campus to be escorts for Jewish students.

One of the greatest failings of the progressive left is viewing every scenario through the lens of power.
It is at a point where the minority party of any conflict or society is seen as a victim and thereby righteous because they don't hold the power.
It is flawed and pushing away the mainstream.

As far as this election is concerned, there's a good chance that the American people are going to feel lied to. After Biden's performance last nights debate performance it's going to be hard to push the narrative that it's Biden running the country, which will also raise the question of who is running the Whitehouse.

I just had this fight Incy with people 20 minutes ago. Many learn to view things with different philosophical lenses in college but forgot that if the world itself does not use the same lens, then you are talking about two different things. So while under neocolonialism Palestine was wronged, if you use an true historic lens they are the invaders that displaced the Jews and stole their homeland around 5000 bc. Remove all lens, and they are terrorists who keep attacking Israel civilians for decades. There are many different truths that can be seen, and applying a single lens does not mean all others all must be ignored and your single biased viewpoint is correct.

Of late I really stopped caring and more am interested in how people view human life in these conflicts.  Palestinian deaths most view as wrong.  Jewish deaths will see many say are sad but Hamas's had to react to Israel.  Bring up Sudan and people get pissed that you are changing the subject, despite the death toll there being higher and could reach up to 2.5 million by Oct.  So only some lives are worth talking about out here.  Others are a distraction or a needed sacrifice.
