Over the past few years here I have been accused of being alt right, a boot licker of Trump and all manner of nasty things. 
Whatever, I have thick skin.

Maher doesn't realise it yet, but like Musk and Rogan he's a traditional left wing voter who now finds himself centre right without moving at all. 

The statistics on crime in Scandinavia are horiffic. 
When I saw the pro Gaza protests in London with hundreds of thousands of Muslims praying in the streets it was worrying. 

Now it looks like we are seeing the first signs of the pendulum of public opinion starting to swing back... But it may be too late. 

My hottest take is that the sign of a weak mind is someone more concerned with finding the consensus and aligning to it rather than evaluating the facts.

I’m a 39-year-old millennial, and I blame my generation’s parents first and foremost. They really introduced the culture of “you’re special,” everyone gets a trophy, and helicopter parenting.

My generation is amplifying it, and Gen Z (parented by Gen X) is completely hopeless when it comes to dealing with … any challenge, let alone an inconvenience.

This isn’t a political issue. Parents on both sides embody this through different ways, whether it’s supporting the manic delusions of the trans movement on the left or burning books because “think of the children!”

I can’t help but feel we’re absolutely fucked.

I’m in line with Maher and have been for awhile. Democrat has lost all meaning it once had. I can’t align myself with those nuts - and the far other side is just as crazy.

Sadly the far left nut bags IMO produced the insanity that is Donald Trump and MAGA nation.

It can really be difficult to parent these days and try to teach your kids the gray areas when they are constantly only given black and white options and pressured to pick a side.

I've often said we are so privileged in the Western world and have been for so long, we're at a point now without any real threat. We're so privileged, we're so bored. And that boredom leads to finding offence in everything, regardless of what side of politics we're on.

We've got people living such privileged lives casting themselves as victims, not because a war is being fought on their doorstep, or from prosecution or oppression or because there isn't any food or water to keep them alive, they're victims because someone used words they didn't like. Because words are violence.

Give me a break.

I don't think that's true. They certainly give them new material, but it was a black man in the White House first and foremost that created the movement today.

That is the reality most do not want to talk about. MAGA was spawned from the insane backlash in the US to the first black president. Many here did not hesitate to call him the n-gger president.

I don’t know. Trump came onto the scene as one of the most brash and obscene “politicians” of the modern era and thrived on that and rode it all the way to presidency. For everyone sick of the overly politically correct absurdly liberal left - they seen Trump as a beacon of light and as their ultimate spokesperson.

I think we'll respectfully agree to disagree on this one. The Tea Partiers had an immense influence on Congress, and it was almost a proving ground for talking points that FOX News used and later MAGA adopted.

I feel like the Liberals have really lost their mind over the last ~4-5 years. I genuinely can't even remember what was considered super extreme from the left in 2014-2016, because they've pushed the goal posts so far.

That was my take on it, but nope they consider anarchy left for some reason.  Really it is the ultimate far right on most scale of just no government everyman for themselves.  

As for these people not being in the real world, the Never Biden protestors are appearing in ballots and chanting Death to America at Biden or Biden official appearances.  And they are clear, they plan to elect Trump so he can destroy America and send a message to dems that unless they start to deliver on their promises by any means necessary, they will not let them win elections anymore.

Do not ask me to justify that logic.  Feels like the Bernie Boys all over again where if they cannot have a socialist, they will take Trump instead.
